Welcome to an unrivaled fitness experience. Unlike any fitness studio of its kind, SPENGA combines the three pillars of fitness to create what's simply known as the best workout ever. This unique concept fills a void in the market by delivering a cardio workout, strength training, and the flexibility benefits of yoga in every group training session. SPENGA's combination of 20 minutes of spin, 20 minutes of strength training, and 20 minutes of yoga creates a multi-sensory experience with space dedicated specifically to each element of the workout, invigorating aromatherapy and workouts fueled by energizing DJ-inspired beats. We believe strong bodies and minds are created through the power of spin, strength, yoga. When your fitness routine works, life just works too.
The three pillars of fitness are cardio, strength, and flexibility, but most people rarely get all 3 in one workout. These three pillars are equally important and that's why SPENGA created the most efficient and effective workout ever. Through a combination of spin, strength, and yoga, you get all 3 in every SPENGA workout!
Every 60-minute SPENGA session includes:
All 3 sections are led by one expert instructor who's with you every step of the way. SPENGA Vero Beach offers the perfect 60 minute workout with all 3 pillars of fitness.

How long have you been an instructor? Spenga instructor since January 2022. Fitness instructor on and off since 2011.
How has SPENGA impacted your life? Spenga has been the perfect thing for me as a new empty nester! I absolutely love my Spenga Fam- everyone that works with me as well as all of the members. I honestly think I get as much benefit from instructing as the members do when they take a session.
What's your favorite thing(s) to do, when you aren't WERKing out at SPENGA? I love to spend time with my husband & my friends, do yoga, walk at Riverside and now I’m learning to play golf. I also enjoy mentoring high school students and helping them navigate the process of college applications and selection.
What's your favorite local restaurant? Dario’s and Fire & Wine
What's something most people don't know about you? I love to work out….JUST KIDDING!! I don’t think that’s a big secret. I LOVE to read. I always have one physical book and a different audio book that I am reading at any given time.
What's the best piece of advice that you can give to someone just starting out on their fitness journey? Release any expectations of yourself and start with a mindset of fun. Then just show up every day you’re scheduled (even if you don’t feel like it). Some days will be better than others but you just show up and do your best that day and you’ll benefit. Spenga is so great because the class members become a family and there is a sense of accountability- you are missed when you are not there. Before you know it, you will know how to do all the exercises and will be so much stronger and feel amazing! You’ll wonder how you ever lived without a fitness routine.

Of course I love all three! Spin comes in first but just by a touch.
How has Spenga impacted your life?
Spenga has brought so much joy into my life. First, I love the people! Second, yoga has connected my mind to my body in unexpected ways. I have found better movement throughout my day. Third, 20 minutes of HIIT cardio on the bike gives me energy that lasts. And finally, gained muscle has boosted my metabolism.
What are your favorite things to do outside of Spenga?
When I’m not at Spenga I love spending time with my family. Sunset cruises are the best, thrifting with my daughter, and watching my son practice surfing on a skateboard.
Tell us something people don’t know about you?
I love deep connections with women. I lead a women’s small group at Vero Beach Calvary Chapel and I volunteer at a pregnancy care center helping women through pregnancy during and after.
What is the best piece of advice you can give someone starting in their fitness journey?
When first starting a fitness journey, it’s imperative to find something you love. Spenga is a must because it incorporates all three essential elements of fitness! Go slow, be consistent, and most importantly have fun!

She is an energetic, vivacious southern girl. Mary is Florida born and bred. She has a large family, including nieces and nephews that she loves, adores and stays super busy spending lots of time with.
She loves Jesus and people and finds joy in serving others, helping them to make their dreams come true, accomplish their goals and just be the best that they can be this side of heaven: physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. When not in the studio working or WERKing out, you can find her cleaning at home (lol), catching a sunrise, at the beach, paddleboarding, running or reading.
Her favorite genres of music are Christian (Hillsong), Reggae (Hip Abduction) and some good ol’ Country/Country Rock (CCR).
Fess up...RIDE, REP, REVIVE; which is your fave?!
REP and REVIVE because at the age of 50 we naturally start losing muscle mass, so it is so important to maintain that strength. We also naturally become less flexible and lose balance, so staying in motion, balanced and flexible is so important too. Heck, they're all necessary, so they're all my fave. Although, I used to dislike SPIN very much, but 20 minutes...we got that!
How long have you been an instructor?
Since October 2022. Loving every minute of it!
How has SPENGA impacted your life?
Oh boy…it has changed my life! Not only is the WERKout amazing, super efficient, effective, best ever, but the community…the community of people here, owners, staff, members, all have been the kindest, most encouraging, uplifting people I’ve ever known or had in my life. I’ve never been so inspired and championed ever. Thank you, #SPENGAfam, for all of your continuous love, support and encouragement.
What's something most people don't know about you?
Can’t think of anything. I’m a pretty open book.
What's the best piece of advice that you can give to someone just starting out on their fitness journey?
We all have to start somewhere. Don’t worry about what everyone else is thinking of you or what they are saying or doing. Just start. And keep going. You’ll find your groove. Being #fit starts as a destination. Commitment and consistency make it a #habit and turn it into a #lifestyle . As we continue to WERK toward our goals and #crush milestone after #milestone , we will soon notice that what was once impossible is now our warm-up, what once was a chore is now just our way of life…a good, fulfilling and awesome life! One that #transforms not just our bodies but also our minds and souls.

How long have you been an instructor? I have been an exercise instructor since my college days. Translation...many, many years! I love empowering others to be their best and have fun moving and challenging the body to perform better and to be healthier.
How has SPENGA impacted your life? I love the SPENGA community - and it has impacted my life because of the awesome staff and members that I get to interact with on a daily basis. I also look forward to increasing those friendships and we get stronger together! :)
What's your favorite thing(s) to do, when you aren't WERKing out at SPENGA? I love spending time with my family, my husband, Dave and my two adult girls, Lindsey and Maggie. I LOVE to do a LOT of outdoor activities: bike riding, (SUP) paddleboarding, paddle ball, ping pong (and newly added: pickleball!). I also love traveling (and usually take my bike where-ever I go). I also love 'home' shopping...at local stores and even second hand stores, finding great bargains for myself or others - jazzing up home decor - and sometimes repurposing items. I like planning events and now that our renovation is mostly complete, I hope to spend more time entertaining family and friends at our home.
What's your favorite local restaurant? Currently, I am loving Captain Hiram's in Sebastian...sand floors, cool booths, river view, great local musicians and super delicious food and cold drinks (the "Pain Reliever" is a favorite lately!)
What do you do for work in addition to SPENGA? I am a graphic designer and still work with my clients from Delaware...over 10 years of long distance work, possible because of amazing technology. I also cater during "in season" here in Vero Beach. I am also a personal trainer, as time permits!
What's the best piece of advice that you can give to someone just starting out on their fitness journey? Walk through the "fitness" center door with a positive mindset - stay committed, get connected and don't do too much too soon! Gently 'move and stretch' your body each day and remember to breathe! Drink water for good hydration and make small healthy changes as a natural progression in your journey to good health.

There is a great sense of community and everyone loves to push each other to be the best version of themselves. What's something most people don't know about you? Something a lot of people do not know about me is that I play a few instruments and was very involved in my high school jazz band program.
What's the best piece of advice that you can give to someone just starting out on their fitness journey? My best piece of advice for someone beginning their fitness journey would be to take it at your own pace and turn fitness into a lifestyle. It should be something you enjoy to do everyday, not something you dread. Trust the process and love yourself!
